Arrivederci!
Hey everyone! I’m the luckiest girl in the world and will be spending the next month living and studying in Salerno, Italy. I imagine it will be pretty difficult to blog from the southern Amalfi Coast, so while I’m gone my fantastic little sister (who brought us her recipe for gluten free chocolate cupcakes) will be guest blogging while I’m gone. She’s a great cook, and...

Spinach Basil Marinara
I’ve never been a fan of plain spaghetti sauce, but add some spices, basil and spinach and it’s like a completely different dish to me. I swear making your own sauce makes the BIGGEST difference. Next time I think I’ll skip the canned tomatoes and use fresh ones. 28oz can crushed tomatoes 2T EVOO 1/2 medium onion, diced garlic and oregano 1/2C packed basil salt and...

The Best Veggie Burger I Ever Made
I love veggie burgers for many reasons, but mostly because you can make a big batch, freeze them and always have them on hand when you’re feeling lazy. This is by far the best veggie burger recipe I’ve ever used. Perfect combination of spicy and sweet, and the eggplant gave it a great texture. It’s a little more complicated than the recipes I usually make, but trust me...

Anonymous asked: Hi, I'm slowly making the change of going Vegan and I was wondering if you have any tips about eating fruits and veggies safely? I always worry about the things I see on the news about e coli in spinach and sprouts. I also was concerned about eating fruits and vegetables that have been pumped with a ton of pesticides and chemicals. Thanks so much!

Salsa Fresca
I ate this salsa on top of my romaine tacos (to be posted later!) with some avocado, but you could eat it with tortilla chips, celery stalks, on a wrap, or the leftovers by themselves (totally did that.) 2 tomatos, chopped 1/2 a red onion, chopped juice of 1 lime 1/2 cup cilantro, shredded It’s so simple, I don’t know why I never made it before.

Starting my raw challenge a day early!
Why wait til Monday when I can start being RAWESOME tomorrow? I stocked up on a ton of fruit from Trader Joe’s yesterday, so all I need are my veggies (more like half of the produce section from Whole Foods…) and I’ll be good to go! Let the detoxing begin. Leave any recipe requests/grocery list suggestions/general questions in my ask and I’ll check them out in the morning! Love and veggies,...

The Night of Four Pizzas
Why make one big pizza, when you could make four mini ones?! This was probably one of the funnest dinners I’ve ever made. My friend Erin and I came up with a few ideas, improvised a lot, and this was our end result. PIZZA ONE: Simple Pesto Pesto sauce, cherry tomato slices and thinly sliced basil PIZZA TWO: Summer Sizzlin’ Olive oil, mango chunks, red peppers, green peppers and...
