I am the self-proclaimed smoothie queen. Green smoothies are my usual go-to, but this purple power smoothie is a close second:
- 1C unsweetened almond milk
- 1/4C frozen blueberries
- 1 banana
- 1/2C sliced beets (canned)

It’s like oatmeal, but even better for you! For two servings:
Cook your quinoa in your milk, by bringing to a boil then simmering for 15 minutes with a lid on. Then top with fresh fruit, cinnamon or maple syrup to taste!

I don’t think summer salads could possibly get any better than this one.
I definitely need a green smoothie to give me a boost, today is looking rainy and ominous.
Green Blue/Smoothie
1 Cup almond milk (I use Silk)
1 Banana, chopped
2 Cups of kale, torn away from the stem
1/2 Cup of frozen blueberries
A dash of stevia
Blend, blend and blend until you have something looking delicious, like this, in your blender.
