Well between finals, the holidays and starting a new full time job (yay!) blogging has not been able to make my todo list, but I guess that’s a side effect of being a twenty-something. I promise I’ll be coming at you hard with tons of new years resolution friendly recipes in the next few weeks though! In the mean time, here’s my fabulous ‘treat yoself’ dinner from Whole Foods: Vegan chicken salad and acai power kale salad.

Starting my raw challenge a day early!

Why wait til Monday when I can start being RAWESOME tomorrow? I stocked up on a ton of fruit from Trader Joe’s yesterday, so all I need are my veggies (more like half of the produce section from Whole Foods…) and I’ll be good to go! Let the detoxing begin.

Leave any recipe requests/grocery list suggestions/general questions in my ask and I’ll check them out in the morning!

Love and veggies,
Madde

I finally watched Forks Over Knives last weekend on instant netflix. I loved it. Did anyone else notice they didn’t really refer to the lifestyle as ‘vegan’ but instead ‘whole foods, plant based’ the whole time? I think a lot of people are scared or intimidated by ‘veganism.’ But this documentary laid out the facts without any bullshit and I really, really enjoyed it. If you haven’t seen it, I highly recommend it.

How to stock a Vegan pantry!

It’s a complete myth that being Vegan is expensive, it’s actually very affordable when you stick to fruits, vegetables and grains. Out of my four roommates, I can definitely say that I spend the least on groceries every week. The only thing that would run your grocery bill up is if you continuously indulge in processed meat substitutes. Click here for a great list of organic essentials to stock your pantry!
